NJ Coalition to Bring the Troops Home Now
NewsBillboard Press ConferenceThere was a great turnout at the Press Conference for the new Teaneck billboard on Monday, January 21st. You should have heard the young people from Stillman Elementary School sing under the direction of their WITS (World Improvement by Tenafly Students) club advisor, Terry Moore! Thanks to all the speakers and people who attended on that very cold day. Here's a link to the article from The Bergen Record. There was a great photo with the billboard in the background and Nancy Nygard's hand held high with a peace sign in the foreground. Interviews from the press conference were on 3 radio stations, My 9 TV, and Bridges TV. (NBC was there but we don't know if it was on the news.) There will be an article in this week's Teaneck Suburbanite. We're trying to raise $525 for another billboard in Bergen County. If you want to contribute, please write checks to NJ Coalition to Bring Troops Home. Send to 76 North Fullerton Ave. Montclair, NJ. 07042. Memo, for Bergen County billboard. Or bring cash or checks to the Wednesday vigil. New Billboard in TeaneckThe newest billboard of the NJ Coalition to Bring Troops Home NOW! Is located at 713 Teaneck Road, across from the Holy Name Hospital parking lot. The billboard, practically in the shadow of the Municipal Building, is an important reminder to all that it is time to pay close attention to the war in Iraq! Some 4000 U.S. troops (including local NJ residents) and nearly 1 million Iraqi people have been killed. This is a tragedy. Enough!!! It is time for actions to bring all troops home NOW! |

The 40 foot Trestle Banner is up over the McCarter Highway in Newark once again. It is a powerful statement and highly visible to all the cars, trucks, and buses headed south. It will be up for the month of August and during the Anti-War rally on August 25. |
